Chinese New Year (or Lunar New Year) is in a few days so we have our red lanterns hung around the house. These small ones hang on my pot rack light fixture in the kitchen and look pretty with the light shining through them.

We awoke to 10 inches of snow this morning; so after shoveling the driveway, the kids had big enough piles to make their own snow beds.

Jan. 18th, the latest I've ever taken down Christmas decorations. My mantel is finally clear of snowflake stocking holders and I think I'm a bit sad about it.

The farm where we buy eggs and meat has several old barns that I knew I needed to photograph; it's like the barns called my name as I was driving by.  This barn houses the cows.

Toby decided it was fun to race the kids down the hill; it looks like he is faster.

This week's theme from 365project.org is movie scenes.  I don't particularly love movies and those that I do watch don't stick around for long in my mind; except for the awesome songs by Adam Sandler in the Wedding Singer.  Anyway, if I can conjure up an idea for a movie scene then I'll do it but otherwise this week will be spend photographing my own ideas.
